Blueshark Partners Klean the World to Supply R1 e-Scooters

Blueshark partners with Klean the World to supply the firm’s reverse vending machine operations team with their R1 e-scooters.
Blueshark has announced a new partnership with Klean the World to provide its R1 electric scooters for the firm’s reverse vending machine operations team. This collaboration will allow Klean the World to provide its employees with sustainable, convenient mobility and to manage their Klean reverse vending machine inventory.

Through this partnership, Blueshark has handed over a total of four R1 e-scooters for Klean the World’s reverse vending machine operations fleet, with the handover ceremony held at The Curve shopping centre earlier this week.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Klean the World to provide our Blueshark R1 smart electric scooters to their operations team,” said Jin Chan, Group COO (ASEAN), Blueshark Ecosystem Sdn Bhd.
“Klean the World is a company that shares our values of sustainability and environmental responsibility. Blueshark’s first-to-last-mile sustainable e-mobility ecosystem will enable Klean’s employees to reduce their carbon footprint and live healthier lives as they enable greener living for others. This collaboration is a fine example of zero emissions and zero waste ingenuity in practice for the greater good.”

For those who are not familiar with Klean the World, this Malaysian-based firm provides innovative solutions to the global waste crisis by operating reverse vending machines that collect plastic bottles and cans in exchange for rewards. These materials are then recycled into r-PET (recycled PET) by its recycling partners.

Blueshark recently opened 10 new battery swapping stations in Klang Valley, expanding its total station network to 15.
To further enhance the usage of the R1 e-scooter, Blueshark has expanded its Bluestation battery swapping network across the Klang Valley to a total of 15, with 10 new stations recently installed and operational. This includes the Petronas service stations in Bangsar, Damansara Jaya, Cheras, Kepong, and Kota Damansara. By the end of the year, Blueshark plans to further expand its station network to 50 locations.
“We are confident that our Blueshark R1 will be a valuable asset to Klean the World,” said Jin. “We are committed to providing our partners with the best possible products and services, and we are excited to help Klean the World achieve its mission of reducing waste and making the world a better place as we transform lives through better human mobility while caring for the planet.”
