Tesla Model Y Now Available in 3 New Colours – Quicksilver, Stealth Grey, & Ultra Red
Months after making its local debut, Tesla Malaysia has now updated the Model Y by introducing three new colourways – Quicksilver, Stealth Grey, and Ultra Red.
Tesla Model Y in new colourway: Quicksilver (top-left), Stealth Grey (top-right), and Ultra Red (bottom).
Previously offered to the facelifted Model 3 ‘Highland’, Malaysian customers who want to place a booking on the Model Y are now given the option to select these three new colourways, with an additional cost of RM7,500 for both the Quicksilver and Stealth Grey. Meanwhile, the Ultra Red option is priced at RM11,000, making it the most expensive option available.
Apart from the three new colour options, the Model Y is also offered with other colour options like the default Pearl White hue, as well as both the Deep Blue Metallic and Solid Black, both of which are offered at an extra cost of RM5,000. To go along with the exterior hues, the Model Y also comes with either an all-black or black-and-white interior colourway option, with the latter one costing an extra RM5,000 to the customers.
Other than the colourway update, the Malaysian-spec Tesla Model Y remains the same as when it was launched last year, featuring three trim levels. Tagged at RM199,000, the baseline Model Y Standard offers up to 455 KM of WLTP range, powered by a single, rear-mounted (RWD) electric motor setup that is good for a century sprint time of 6.9 seconds.
Priced at RM246,000, the mid-spec Model Y Long Range makes do with a peppier dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup and a larger battery capacity for a more decent WLTP range of 533 KM. Topping off the whole product range at RM288,000 is the Model Y Performance, featuring the peppiest dual-motor AWD setup that is capable of propelling the car from nought to 100 KM/H in just 3.7 seconds.
According to Tesla Malaysia’s configurator site, deliveries for the updated Model Y are expected to commence later in the second quarter of this year, with its first deliveries taking place last month.
Tesla Malaysia currently houses up to 7 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers in its growing network.
As per any Tesla model officially sold here in Malaysia, owners who purchase the Model Y will have access to Tesla Malaysia’s rapidly growing charging network. Said network currently features seven Superchargers and ten Destination Chargers, with ongoing expansion to facilitate travel between Malaysia and Singapore.
Beside the Tesla Malaysia Experience Centres in Cyberjaya and Pavilion Damansara Heights mall, those who are keen to size up the Tesla Model Y in its new colourways can also visit the Tesla Supercharger at Sunway Big Box, Iskandar Puteri.
