Face-lifted Kia EV6 Teased, Will Gain Sharper Styling

The first of two images released by Kia this week teasing the upcoming face-lifted EV6 model.
Korean automaker Kia took to social media earlier this week to tease an upcoming face-lifted version of the Kia EV6 all-electric crossover. From the images released, the award-winning and highly lauded EV crossover SUV is set to feature even sharper styling that the current model.
As stated by Kia earlier this year, the automaker plans to launch this revised iteration of the EV6 in Korea first sometime in the second quarter (Q2), and this teaser’s release date corroborates that. A similar refresh for the higher-end EV6 GT variant comes later in the fourth quarter (Q4).
Not much was detailed in the teaser posted by Kia on its Korean Facebook page, but what is clear is that the EV6 will gain restyled LED headlights that are more triangular-shaped and positioned lower. These are expected to flank a revised front grille and front bumper too.
Additionally, Kia says the daytime running lights (DRLs) will also have a new Star Map Signature Lighting motif. This will feature a mix of horizontal and vertical elements which the automaker says will create a “more dynamic and future-oriented feeling.”

Second teaser image of the face-lifted Kia EV6 released this week showing its revised rear.
At the rear, the teaser images show the EV6 will sport milder changes, namely the revised swooping thing lightbar that stretches across its tailgate. New taillight graphics, plus a revised new rear bumper design are expected too.
Kia shied away from detailing changes on board, but reputable sources online indicate that the cabin will adopt a new generation ccNC infotainment suite that will also offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Also expected here is the inclusion of the Kia Connect connected services suite. This is set to enable remote access to selected vehicle functions.

Recently face-lifted Hyundai Ioniq 5 pictured, which shares the same E-GMP platform and EV architecture as the EV6. Expect similar changes in the latter with bits borrowed from the former.
As for powertrain, speculation online is rife that the revised EV6 will mirror changes seen in its updated Hyundai Ioniq 5 cousin – both underpin the same E-GMP platform and EV architecture. As a refresher, the range-topping Ioniq 5 Extended Range gained a larger 4 kWh battery pack.
The swap to a larger battery pack is expected to yield longer range abilities, though Hyundai have yet to release range figures for the refreshed Ioniq 5 yet. Other notable changes we can expect too are improved NVH suppression, as well as uprated lane-keeping assist and parking assist.
More details are expected once the face-lifted and updated Kia EV6 officially debuts, which is expected to happen very soon.
