MAS2024: GWM Tank 300 Secures 150 Early Bookings, Even At RM250k Est. Price
The GWM Tank 300 4x4 SUV has garnered quite a bit of interest at the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024) happening at MAEPS, Serdang, until this Sunday. GWM Malaysia has begun accepting early bookings for it at the show with an estimated price of RM250,000, with deliveries slated to begin in July.
Impressively, the firm has already received 150 early bookings after just three days, The Tank 300, a fully imported (CBU) model from China, is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine combined with a ZF 8-Speed Automatic Transmission (8AT), which produces 220 PS and 380 NM of torque.
This 4x4 SUV has a dual-speed, electronically controlled part-time four-wheel drive (4WD) system that allows for seamless transition between 2WD and 4WD modes.
Catering to Malaysian consumers who appreciate vehicles capable of navigating diverse terrains — from city streets to challenging landscapes — the Tank 300 certainly is very appealing as an off-road SUV for the urban jungle.
As part of a special early-bird package for the first 300 customers, these 150 early bookings qualify for a 5-year or 100,000 KM free service package (covering parts and labour, whichever comes first), a lifetime engine and transmission warranty with unlimited mileage for the original owner, and exciting mystery gifts set to be revealed at the model’s official launch.
According to GWM Malaysia, the Tank 300 is China's leading off-road SUV brand, accounting for more than half of the country's off-road SUV sales. It has been the top SUV for 40 straight months, with global sales exceeding 400,000 units.
