Maserati Grecale Folgore Rocks Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN Tyres

Bridgestone in partnership with Maserati, has developed bespoke 20-inch tyres for its the latter Italian marque’s first all-electric SUV, the Grecale Folgore.

Previously, both parties had collaborated in developing bespoke tyres for the Maserati MC20 supercar and the Maserati Grecale successfully. In turn, this made Bridgestone an ideal partner as Maserati launches its inaugural all-electric SUV.

The bespoke tyres developed were based on the Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres, an offering from the B-branded tyremaker’s flagship ultra-high performance range. These bespoke tyres offer top performance in dry conditions and feature a premium wet package, ensuring superior handling in both dry and wet environments.

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN tyres were specifically engineered to meet the unique demands of the Maserati Grecale Folgore, enhancing its performance through Bridgestone's ENLITEN Technology.

This innovative approach combines multiple cutting-edge technologies to deliver maximum safety and outstanding tyre performance while improving the tyre’s sustainability characteristics. Additionally these tyres also boast very low rolling resistance, achieving a best-in-class EU Label A-grade, which extends the vehicle’s range to 500 KM.

Furthermore, Bridgestone is also investing heavily in making electric mobility more efficient and accessible by pioneering premium tyres and technologies for EVs, offering dedicated fleet and mobility solutions, and partnering with leading EV manufacturers.

Maserati, on the other hand, prides itself in being the first Italian luxury carmaker to launch fully electric vehicles, with plans to produce electric versions of all its models by 2025 and going fully electric by 2030.

Bridgestone utilised its proprietary Virtual Tyre Development technologies in combination with Maserati’s driving simulator, allowing the bespoke tyre to be created and tested in a digital environment. This approach reduces the need for physical prototyping and testing, cuts raw material consumption and carbon emissions, and accelerates time to market.
