- Electrifying Elantra Launched In Malaysia
Petaling Jaya, December 10, 2020 – Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors has unveiled the new Hyundai Elantra. This is the 7th generation of Elantra launched in Malaysia since the Elantra made its debut in 2001.
The Hyundai Elantra is offered in one variant and four colours. It is priced at RM 158,888 for Peninsular Malaysia private registered vehicles, excluding insurance.
Caricarz.com finds the Elantra very attractive for various reasons.
First, the exterior. The new Elantra comes with a very bold design. It feels as if it took inspiration from a certain cyberpunk future. The sharp edges and straight lines eschewing the curves of normal cars that makes it stand out. LED lights fitted like narrow eyes give it an aggressive feature.
Secondly the Smartsense safety suite comes with features like the Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist with Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Safe Exit Warning, these technologies can potentially help to avoid serious accidents.
Third, is the interior. The aircraft-cockpit-like driver-oriented layout, paired with the 10.25-inch TFT instrument cluster and 8-inch floating display, as well as the gear lever design, gives an impression of piloting an airplane.
Lastly, is the performance. Combined with the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) that is mated to the Smartstream G1.6 petrol engine makes it particularly well balanced for this segment.
Every new Elantra is covered with a three-year or 50,000km whichever comes first free maintenance, and a five-year or 300,000km whichever comes first warranty.
The all-new Elantra is available for viewing at all Hyundai-Sime Darby showrooms nationwide. For more information, call Hyundai’s Customer Careline at 1-300-13-2000 or visit www.hyundai.com.my.
