- Confirmed! CKD Mazda CX-30 Will Be Coming Next Year
Mazda Motor Corporation has confirmed that the locally-assembled (CKD) Mazda CX-30 will not be introduced this year but instead will be revealed in the year 2022 or later.
According to a statement made by AmInvestment Bank on 11 March 2021, Mazda will be working on the CKD CX-30 this year. The statement also mentioned an estimate that the model’s selling price would be decreased by about RM 15,000, which has not been confirmed just yet.
Under the hood, the CX-30 is equipped with a 2.0L DOHC 16-Valve 4 Cylinder With VVT Capacity of 1,998cc that produces 162 hp at 6,000 rpm and 213 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The model also comes with a 6-Speed Automatic transmission with Manual Shift Mode.
At the moment, prices for the model start off at RM 144,759 for the 2.0G Core (2WD) variant, RM 159,109 for the 2.0G High (2WD) variant, RM 167,673 for the 1.8D High (2WD) variant and RM 170,459 for the 2.0G High (AWD) variant. These prices are not inclusive of insurance but include the current SST discounts.
