TC Euro Cars (TCEC) launched the all-new Renault MEGANE R.S. 300 TROPHY facelift yesterday, 25 March 2021. The model is priced at a starting price of RM 326,476 for Peninsular Malaysia and RM 174,888 for Langkawi.

The model is available in five colour options that include Flame Red, Diamond Black, Pearl White, as well as the iconic Liquid Yellow or Orange Tonic (an additional RM9,000 each).

Customers who are interested to purchase can do so by selecting a subscription plan that fits their liking (according to the options below).

“The new Renault MEGANE R.S. 300 TROPHY stays true to our commitment to performance, living up to Renault’s rich racing heritage. Furthermore, we have made it more accessible by offering both purchase and subscription options for those that appreciate performance in their everyday drive.” said Wong Hoe Mun, Chief Executive Officer of TCEC.

Under the hood is a revised 1.8L turbocharged engine that produces 300 hp, along with a ceramic ball-bearing turbocharger and exhaust system. Not only that, the engine is also paired with a 6-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (“EDC”) gearbox that produces 420 Nm of torque.

Along with steering wheel-mounted gearshift paddles, the TROPHY comes with four R.S. Drive Modes that include My Sense, Save, Sport and Race.

Following that, Multi-Change Down and Launch Control functions are also offered when using Sport and Race modes. The Multi-Change Down function allows the driver to drop multiple gears at once, while the Launch Control function enables a standing start as fast as a race car as the clutch and turbo are pre-loaded. Also equipped in the model is the Cup chassis that comes with a Torsen® mechanical Limited Slip Differential.

Other key components include 4CONTROL which is a four-wheel steering system, bi-material brake discs that make the vehicle 1.8 kg lighter in every corner, as well as four hydraulic compression stops for all shock absorbers that come from rally inspired technology.

Exterior highlights include revised full LED headlamps and daytime running lights, as well as a new rear LED lighting signature. On top of that, there is a Honeycomb radiator grille stamp that emphasizes on the R.S. double diamond logo and 19-inch Jerez where the design was inspired by the Renault Sport R.S.01 concept car.

The vehicle is finished in an exclusive R.S. upholstery that includes R.S. Vision high-performance lighting that is a combination of sidelights, cornering lights, fog lights and long-range high beam lights. Next to that is a rear bumper that comes with a built-in diffuser and the signature central exhaust. Along with the striking red Brembo® brake callipers, the rear spoiler has also been revised with a narrower design. Not forgetting the distinctive wing-mounted air retractors.

As for the interior, new highlights include an exclusive R.S. double-diamond stamped specific leather and Alcantara© steering wheel, an EASYLINK 7” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 7” customisable TFT driver's information display.

The history of the TROPHY started in 2005 when the first MEGANE R.S. TROPHY model was introduced. This was followed by a 265 TROPHY version of MEGANE III R.S. that was revealed in 2011 that was equipped with a revised engine with a power output that increased from 250 hp to 265 hp. The model was said to be the quickest front-wheel drive production model on the market due to its lap record of 8:07.97.

Customers who purchase the Renault MEGANE R.S. 300 TROPHY will be given a three-year or 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first).
