- The All-New Land Rover Defender V8
The Land Rover has introduced a V8-powered version of Defender, named the Defender V8 and it comes in two body styles which are the Defender 90 and 110.
The Defender V8 is fitted with a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine which produces 525 hp from 6,000 rpm to 6,500 rpm and 625 Nm from 2,500 rpm to 5,500 rpm. This allows the vehicle to sprint from 0-100 km/h in approximately 5.2 second for the Defender 90 and 5.4 seconds for the Defender 110.
One of the key highlights of the vehicle is the ‘Dynamic’ setting for the Defender’s adjustable driving mode. This allows for a sportier driving on any surface which is seamless.
The exterior of the Defender V8 is fitted with a quad-exit exhaust system which allows the vehicle to have a throaty sound. The model is also equipped with satin grey 22-inch alloy wheels along with blue-painted brake callipers which exudes a sleek and modern look.
For the interior, the Defender V8 gets a leather and Dinamica suede interior as standard which also includes an Alcantara-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel. V8-badged tread plates and a satin black exposed beam is also fitted in.
There is also an option to upgrade the Defender V8 to the Carpathian Edition trim. The upgrade includes an unique gray finish which compliments the Narvik Black roof, bonnet and tailgate as well as the Satin Black towing eyes. The Carpathian Edition also includes a polyurethane-based satin protective film which offers protection against scratches in car parks and off-road paths.
The Defender V8 gets some infotainment upgrades in terms of the upsized screen for the Pivi Pro system. It features a new 11.4 inches screen with wireless charging tray and a signal booster.
The all-new V8 price starts from GBP 98,505 (RM 562,914) for the Defender 90 while the Defender 110 starts from GBP 101,150 (RM 577,948) in the United Kingdom.
