Sime Darby Auto Selection, or known as SDAS has launched a new Extended Warranty Program for pre-owned cars. Being Malaysia’s fastest-growing corporate multi-brand used car dealer under Sime Darby Motors, the program was made possible in collaboration with Guard My Ride (GMR) and RHB Insurance.

Pre-owned car owners will be offered peace of mind through the Extended Warranty Program, with comprehensive warranty as well as repair service for ten different systems which includes the engine, electronic, steering, turbo, braking, air conditioning, cooling, ignition, fuel and transmission of the car. Besides that, services that are also included are for the rare and front axle as well as the transmission oil leaks.

Included in the offers are also complimentary towing service to nationwide panel workshops which covers repair and servicing, insurance coverage and insurance underwriting.

The Extended Warranty Programme can be purchased at SDAS Glenmarie showroom and is also available for customers who have bought pre-owned vehicles from SDAS. With mileage under 140,000km and are less than eight years, vehicles are eligible for the programme which price ranges between RM2,200 and RM6,900 per year. Do note that the price would be dependent on the vehicle age as well as type.

Vi Thim Juan, SDAS Managing DIrector mentioned the company has aimed to be a one-stop centre for the pre-owned vehicle market, where it caters to all their needs ranging from retail of good quality and thoroughly checked multi-brand pre-owned vehicles to the Extended Warranty Program.

“SDAS strives to keep innovating our offerings in anticipation of customers’ needs, and

hopefully exceed the demand of our customers. We aim to set ourselves apart from the

competition and we are determined to only offer quality products and services that are akin to the 3S centres,” said Vi.

Through the collaboration with partners GMR and RHB Insurance, GMR will be the service provider for all extended warranty claims, towing service and repair work. On the other hand, RHB Insurance will become the motor insurance and insurance underwriter provider.

What do you think of the new program offered by these three companies? Will it be beneficial and become a one-stop centre for pre-owned vehicles? Let us know what you think down below!
