Customers will be able to enjoy PUSPAKOM cashless payment transactions starting from today, 5 April 2021. In addition, other matters such as the issuance of inspection reports and receipts will also be carried out paperless at the PUSPAKOM inspection center.

It was mentioned that these paperless and cashless transactions will be carried out in stages. According to PUSPAKOM chief executive officer Shukor Ismail, the implementation will begin today at PUSPAKOM Central Region before being conducted at other inspection centers throughout the country.

As for the PUSPAKOM Northern Region, it will start on May 5, Southern Region on June 5, Eastern Region on July 5, and finally, Sabah and Sarawak on August 5.

“It is PUSPAKOM's initiative to encourage contactless and environmentally friendly transactions at their counters.

"It also makes it easier for customers to make payments for their inspections without bringing cash, as well as reducing the use of paper materials to print receipts and inspection reports," he said.

All paperwork such as cash payments and receipt printing will be terminated starting from October.

“This system is very suitable for the new norms that are being passed at this time and digital payments are increasing in Malaysia, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.

"Therefore, the implementation of 'No Cash, No Paper' at PUSPAKOM is very timely, because it reduces the interaction of 'face-to-face' (face to face) between the public and PUSPAKOM staff.

"Apart from being in line with PUSPAKOM's automation and digitization processes and initiatives," he said.

It is clear that all transactions will be recorded and stored in the PUSPAKOM database. This can indirectly increase the integrity of PUSPAKOM in the eyes of the community.

The existence of this data will also facilitate users who want to monitor activities and transactions that have been done with PUSPAKOM.

For the knowledge of readers, this plan is an extension of the digital system, MyPUSPAKOM, which was introduced in 2017. The system is a platform that the public can use to set inspection appointments and to complete online transactions.

Among the online payment systems offered are FPX, debit cards, credit cards and various other e-wallet facilities such as PUSPAKOM e-wallet, Maybank QRPay, GrabPay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Boost, WeChat Pay and Alipay.
