- Isuzu Reels In ‘Strong’ 2025 Sales Figures Despite Downward Demands
Isuzu Malaysia revealed its 2025 sales performance recently, heralding it as 'strong' and 'resilient' despite market-wide downward demands for diesels.

Isuzu Malaysia revealed its 2025 sales figures during a recent Chinese New Year dinner it hosted for local press. Despite market-wide downward demand for diesels, the Japanese automaker says its sales in Malaysia last year remained strong and resilient.
In terms of commercial vehicles, the firm achieved its highest ever market share in the local market in 2025. With 6,880 units registered, the automaker now holds 56.1% of the local commercial vehicle market – up from its previous high of 47.1% in 2023.

Like past years, the automaker's staple D-Max continues to charge its passenger vehicles sales, standing as the No 2 best-seller in the local pick-up truck market space.

The firm’s passenger cars sales continue to be led solely by its staple D-Max pick-up truck. Like the previous year (2024), the D-Max also continues to be the No 2 best-seller in this space locally, with Isuzu Malaysia highlighting a 15% growth from 2024.
Isuzu Malaysia elected not to release any specific figures for which, but a quick check via data.gov.my indicates that up to 772 new D-Max units were registered throughout 2025.

Launched early last year, the D-Max 4x2MT Low Ride stands as the most accessible variant priced from RM92,199.20.

Nevertheless, Isuzu Malaysia CEO Tomoyuki Yamaguchi attributes the company’s 2025 success being borne from key deliverables that meet and exceed the needs of its customers.
“Our established roots in providing a product portfolio that completely satisfies customers’ requirements remains a key factor for Isuzu’s continued popularity here in Malaysia,” said Yamaguchi during his keynote address at the press dinner mentioned.
CEO Tomoyoki Yamaguchi also attributed the firm's well-positioned dealership network as a key driver to Isuzu Malaysia's 2025 success.

He continued by also noting the ability of the firm’s well-positioned dealership network that quickly adapted to the changing customer demands plus an after-sales backbone system that’s fully focused on keeping customers constantly moving.
Updated in mid 2024, the Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck range for Malaysia grew further early last year with the arrival of the Low Ride 4x2 MT variant. Said addition also stands as the most accessibly priced variant of the D-Max – it starts from RM92,199.20.
