The company teamed up with the Renault F1 Team to bring forward more innovative and exclusive E-TECH hybrid technology. Due to it having almost 150 patents to its name, the company also managed to produce two types of hybrid engines that come with and without recharging capabilities.

Along with the two electric motors, the vehicle also comes with a traction battery and a smart gearbox that receives energy from the electric or thermal motor. With the use of hybrid technology, drivers are able to relish in almost 80 percent of electric driving on city roads, as well as a 100 percent guarantee for an electric start at any time.

In addition to that, under a more sustainable aspect, the Renault Captur E-Tech Hybrid is also able to conserve almost 40 percent on fuel as compared to an urban cycle thermal motor equivalent.

All variants packs of the Renault Captur (Zen, Business, Intens) are equipped with E-TECH Hybrid technology. However, orders for RS Line and Initiale Paris packs will be open in the coming weeks.

The current hybrid motor is in addition to the overall range of rechargeable hybrid motors which is in relation to the Captur E-TECH Plug-In 160. The vehicle comes with options of petrol (TCe 90), micro-hybrid petrol (TCe 140 and 140 EDC), and even bi-fuel petrol-LPG motors (TCe 100 LPG).

In addition to standard upgrades similar to combustion motor models, the Captur E-TECH Hybrid also comes with features such as regenerative braking and energy recovery mode (E-shifter and automatic transmission), energy flows displayed directly on the central dashboard, EV button to switch into full-electric mode, as well as unique badges on the boot, B-pillar, and gear stick.

On top of that, coming as standard for the Zen version, there is a 7-inch customizable dashboard, automatic air conditioning and also automatic headlight activation.

The Renault Captur E-TECH Hybrid is available in either ZEN, BUSINESS, or INTENS packs throughout Renault dealerships, with the starting price of €27,100 (RM 133,825).
