- Teased Ahead Of Its Official Debut, The Modernized 2022 BMW X3
Recently leaked online by BMW’s Chinese manufacturing partner, are images of the updated 2022 BMW X3 and iX3 crossovers.
Inspecting the leaked images meticulously, the X3 and the all-electric iX3 crossovers can be seen with sharper stylings and an overall sleek layout, comprising a wide range of small modifications.
Gazing at the front end, both crossovers can be seen fitted with a new kidney grille design, in which the two sides are connected and positioned in the centre to align with its scalloped-like hood.
The kidney grille portrays an angular design that features sharper corners on the top ends. It has been paired to harmonise with a set of reformed headlights that are now stretched-out, less bulky and come with new illumination graphics.
Moreover, the two facelifted crossovers can also be seen with a restructured bumper that gets two angular shaped air inlets fitted on the sides and a large one stretching across the width in the middle.
Walking towards the rear end, a set of wrap-around taillights that have been updated slightly with sharper corners can be seen. It also gets a darker tint and new illumination graphics, all to match the front end’s set of headlamps.
Just like the front, the rear bumper has also been restyled. It features sleek and slim looking air inlets on the edges and present at the bottom part is a very commanding full width diffuser with integrated round and angular shaped twin tailpipes.
Its overall exterior remodification portrays both the X3 and iX3 with a wider and more planted silhouette and stance, which truly personifies the compact SUV criteria.
Diving inside, even though there is no definite proof as yet, the interior can be anticipated to come with some new tech here and there, just like in the company’s other new models.
Furthermore, with the company’s new performance developments, especially their approach to e-mobility, it can be expected to sport powertrains such as mild-hybrid options with 48-volt architecture units.
Rumour has it, the two crossovers will be officially uncloaked sometime in June of this year. Similarly, all the visual changes seen on the facelifted BMW X3 and iX3 will also be presented on the updated X4, which is assumed to make its debut either later this year or in 2022.
