An Ode To Ferrari’s Masterpiece, The ¾-Scale Ferrari Testa Rossa J Is Here!
Going back to the 50s and 60s, the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa was deemed as one of the most significant Ferraris of all time. Claiming 18 victories, three championship titles and being the only vehicle to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times, this vehicle was seen as a key track protagonist during its era.
Now comes the Testa Rossa J, a 75 percent scale replica of the renowned classic. Powered by a three-battery electric engine, only 299 vehicle units are up for grabs. The catch? It is not homologated for road use.
In collaboration with The Little Car Company, the Testa Rossa J was meticulously reproduced to imitate the 1957 model: hand-beaten aluminium bodywork, high specification suspension, brakes and wheels, sophisticated electric drivetrain as well as steering geometry modelled on the original, allowing for an authentic driving experience matching its exterior.
Safety-wise, the car receives reinforced metal side panels. This optional roll-bar can be anchored to the chassis and Brembo disc brakes to replace the original drum system, which is complemented by a hydraulic handbrake.
Customisation is available for the Testa Rossa J, ranging from personalisations to colour combinations. An online car configurator allows clients to choose from 14 historical liveries, 53 bodywork colours and additional personalised racing liveries, up to par with Ferrari’s style.
Production is set to commence towards the end of 2021, with options of securing their build slot with a $20,000 (RM84,710) deposit. Prices start from $93,000 (RM394,000), with expectations of the price tag to go higher depending on customisations.
