Donning Felipe Pantone’s Signature Shades, The Exceptionally Unique Alpine A110
Renault Group’s F1 division, Alpine, has unveiled an incomparable design of the brand’s iconic model, the A110, at the unique and prestigious setting of the Monaco F1 Grand Prix.
Continuing a collaboration initiated last April by Alpine and Felipe Pantone, this latest project follows the work ‘Alpine F1 x Felipe Pantone’.
In which the artist delivered his creative rendition of Formula 1 with Alpine on a 1/2 scale model exhibited at the Atelier Renault dedicated to Alpine.
Alpine’s vice president of sales and marketing Cédric Journel, commented, “Through this second collaboration with Alpine, Felipe Pantone once again demonstrates the extent of his talent. The creative work and its execution are exceptional. The colour schemes, geometric shapes and optical effects reveal the A110 in a new light, with a heightened sense of movement. This work results in a modern, dynamic and captivating work of art”.
Resulting with a modern, dynamic and elegant interpretation of the A110, Felipe Pantone spent long hours studying the brand, its history and, of course, driving the French sports coupe.
The paint job on the Alpine A110’s body, carried out entirely by hand by Felipe Pantone, represents several weeks of work.
Taking an overall gander, the graphic lines portrayed follow the shape of the A110’s silhouette, giving an impression of speed even when the car stands still.
Adding to the overall beauty, the A110’s livery also features the Argentinian artist’s signature colours of black and white.
To further add a sense of exclusivity, each of the three models offered for sale will feature subtle graphic variations to make each of these A110s a unique piece.
Designer Felipe Pantone remarked, “My idea regarding the work on the A110 is to evoke a sense of ‘ultra dynamism’. Visual speed is something that I have been investigating for years now and that I feel, it really comes together on this car, emphasising its brilliant design with a fast, technological look”.
This Alpine A110 designed by Felipe Pantone was based on an A110S version. It is the most potent version in the A110 range, in which it has a max power output of 292 horsepower.
Unveiling of this alliance was done by Fernando Alonso getting behind the wheel of the A110 x Felipe Pantone with the artist in the passenger seat for a hot lap on the Monaco Grand Prix track.
Moreover, to celebrate this second collaboration, the Alpine F1 Team brandishes the colours of Felipe Pantone with its typical graphic elements.
Only three of the Alpine A110s have been produced, and each comes with a price tag of 125,000 euros (RM 616,935), including tax.
All in all, albeit approved for road circulation, these unique works of art are aimed more at collectors and lovers of beautiful objects than at track fans.
