First Batch Of NIO ES8 Locked and Loaded For Norway!

The first batch of NIO ES8 for user delivery commenced shipping from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port to Norway on July 20. Previously, the NIO ES8 received the European Whole Vehicle Type Approval (EVWTA) and has since rolled out the production line in Hefei Advanced Manufacturing Center. 

With order placement and user delivery expected to commence in September, the NIO ES8 alongside services such as the NIO House, NIO Power system, NIO Service and Delivery Center, NIO App and NIO Life will all be available Norwegian users. 

Additionally, the NIO Norway User Advisory Board has also been established - receiving more than 650 applications from Norwegian users, of which the first 200 members have formed the advisory board. The board will be responsible for ensuring the localisation of the vehicle and the community experience. 

To recap, the NIO ES8 is a seven-seater all-electric SUV that features an NEDC range of up to 580 kilometres with a 100 kWh battery pack. Being sold since 2018, the flagship SUV features the NIO Pilot (ADAS) as well as NOMI, the world’s first in-vehicle Artificial Intelligence (AI).
