With Striking Looks & Versatile Capabilities, Introducing The New C-Class Estate As An All Terrain!
Mercedes-Benz recently revealed the new C-Class All-Terrain, an all-rounder with striking designs and versatile capabilities. The model will make its debut at the International Motor Show in Munich this month and will be reaching European markets later this year.
Noteworthy features of its off-road design include the distinctive radiator grille, the special bumpers, the simulated underride guard at the front and rear and the wheel arch linings in matt dark grey.
"Over 10.5 million units of the C-Class sold since 1982 show how popular the C-Class is with our customers. And the new generation has also got off to an excellent start, with over 50,000 orders in just three months. With the C-Class All-Terrain, we are adding a new variant to our strong line-up in this successful segment, alongside the Saloon and Estate models," said Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG responsible for Sales, Britta Seeger.
The All-Terrain stands at 4,755 mm long, 1,841 mm wide, 1,494 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,865 mm. Not only is it equipped with a load capacity of 490 to 1510 litres, but it also includes 40:20:40 split-folding for its rear seat backrest of the Estate model and the EASY-PACK tailgate as standard.
Exterior highlights include a single-louvre radiator grille with chrome-plated trim elements and embedded central star characterises the front, as well as a high gloss black finish for the front bumper. Customers can also choose between exclusive wheel designs in sizes 17 to 19.
The LED High Performance headlamps come as standard, while the DIGITAL LIGHT system familiar from the new S-Class can be chosen as an optional extra.
In addition to that, the waistline trim, side window surrounds and roof railings are all finished in polished aluminium as the All-Terrain models are based on the AVANTGARDE exterior. However, if the vehicle is equipped with the Night Package, it will receive additional features (e.g. E-line, waistline, outside mirrors) and trim elements at the front and rear (simulated underride guard at the front and rear, as well as the load sill protection) in high-gloss black.
The AVANTGARDE interior comes as standard for All-Terrain models. Customers will have three shades to choose from; black, macchiato beige / black and sienna brown / black. As for the driver display, they can opt from a 10.25-inch (26.0 cm) or a 12.3-inch (31.2 cm) version.
Did you know that a new "Offroad" context was designed for the All-Terrain? This includes specific information such as the incline, decline and steering angle, as well as geo coordinates and a compass. Not only are the seats finished in an AVANTGARDE-specific seat upholstery, the AVANTGARDE interior also includes ambient lighting.
Following that, the All-Terrain comes with six drive modes that include ECO, COMFORT, SPORT, INDIVIDUAL, OFFROAD and OFFROAD+ that comes with DSR (Downhill Speed Regulation).
With 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard and a towing capacity of up to 1800 kg, the model is even ready for trailer operation. Not forgetting the nine-speed automatic transmission!
