- India shrinks a 2021 Honda Accord to Comply with Tax Structures
Honda Cars India Ltd, the manufacturer of Honda cars in India owned by Honda Motor Co Ltd, has recently introduced the Honda Amaze S, inspired by the Honda Accord. The manufacturer has shrunk the Honda Accord to comply with the country’s tax structure,
First launched in 2013, Honda Amaze offers nine variants: E, S, S CVT, VX, E Diesel, VX CVT, S Diesel, VX Diesel, and VX CVT Diesel. This all-new Amaze is a 5-seater Sedan available in a price range of Rs7.10 Lakhs (RM 39,430.79) on the road.
Honda Amaze is well-equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox of a CVT and a 1.5-litre diesel engine compatible with its petrol injection system. The dimension of Honda Amaze S is 3,995 in length, 1,695 in width and 1,501 in height.

The car’s design covering a flat bumper at the front seems extended from a driver viewpoint. However, all polished with silver chrome and a Honda logo attached at the rear bonnet is lovely and compatible with the car’s budget. Features of this Accord pre-facelift include using revised headlights with LED projectors and daytime running lights. A retouch of its front bumper delivers a more specific look around the fog lamp which complements the 15-inch tyre as a new look of Honda Amaze S 2021.
As for the interior, the whole space is surprisingly spacious and has enough room for all occupants to roam. The infotainment system is completed with MP3, AUX and USB. While blasting songs in the car, we can place our drinks or water bottle at provided cupholders, so it's easier to drive.
In the automotive world, we will never forget the ride. The driving experience of Honda Amaze S is a pleasant journey, especially when we run the city with a 1.2-litre inclination petrol engine with 90PS and 110Nm torque is quite an easy drive and settling into town.
Honda always prioritizes its safety aspects for both drivers and passengers. This new Honda Amaze is completed with safety features and protection where dual airbags are located both at the front driver and passenger seats. Besides that, driving is more secure with an Anti-Lock- Braking System with Electronic Brake Distribution, Immobilizer, Child Locks, Central and Remote Locking.
The Honda Amaze has driven Honda Cars India’s sales by 48.85 percent in its domestic sales to 11,177 units in August 2021, compared to 7,509 units during the same period over a year ago, to prove that it is popular in India.
