Aston Martin launched its ‘No Time To Die’ campaign following the premiere of the 25th bond movie with an exclusive feature of the iconic Aston Martin DB5.

Aston Martin Lagonda’s executive vice president and chief creative officer Marek Reichman said, “We are honoured to be marking the start of the ‘No Time To Die’ campaign with this exciting unveiling. Aston Martin’s relationship with James Bond spans decades, and the DB5 is, without question, the most famous car in the world under its 50-plus year association. Working with EON Productions and Chris Corbould, the film’s Special Effects Coordinator, to build 25 of the DB5 Goldfinger Continuations was a unique project for everyone involved at Aston Martin. Now, to work with Corgi, another quintessential British brand, and to see James Bond’s most cherished car sitting inside a to-scale toy box in central London is quite outstanding.”

In rejoicing the return of 007’s iconic Aston Martin DB5 to the big screen, Aston Martin and Corgi unveiled a full-size replica of the original 1965 Corgi DB5 model.

This life-size model, which measures 5,660 mm long, 2,700 mm tall and 2,700 mm deep, replicates the original Corgi design and houses an Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger Continuation car.

It comes complete with a broad selection of working gadgets that fans will recognise from the classic James Bond film.

E.g., the rotating number plates, a retractable bulletproof rear shield, extending front overriders and, of course, pop-out machine guns.

The full-size replica Corgi DB5 box will be on display at Battersea Power Station in London for the general public to see until October 1, 2021.

Notably, only 25 DB5 Goldfinger Continuation cars are being produced, after 55 years since the last new DB5 rolled off the line at Aston Martin’s then global manufacturing base in Buckinghamshire.

All the new cars are authentic reproductions of the DB5 seen on screen and available in one exterior colour, the Silver Birch akin to the original.

Although, all the new reproductions have received some needed modifications and enhancements here and there to ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability.

As for Corgi, it is the original home of diecast scale modelling, and the most famous Corgi release of all time is indisputably James Bond's Aston Martin DB5, first released in 1965.

Replicating the action features of the vehicle seen in Goldfinger, it earned them the UK ‘Toy of the Year’ and ‘Best Boys Toy’ titles at the National Association of Toy Retailers Awards.

Priced initially at around 10 to 50 pounds (RM 286), the model was so popular that it sold over 20 million units worldwide and is still being produced today.

All in all, the new 007 film will feature for the first time four different models together, i.e., the iconic DB5, the classic Aston Martin V8, the super GT Aston Martin DBS and the new Aston Martin Valhalla.
