10-Month-Old Rescued From Locked Car

A 10-month was rescued after spending minutes trapped in her mother’s Proton Saga at Taman Sri Pelangi, Alor Gajah, Melaka, this morning.

It has been reported that the baby was safe and sound, and free from any injuries.

In his statement, Senior Fire Officer II, Operational Commander Nazri Mat Rais, mentioned that his team rushed to the scene for rescue work after receiving the call around 9.54 am.

“We had to use special tools to unlock the car due to the car's auto-lock locking mechanism.”

The victim’s mother stepped out of her car before the door was automatically locked in the incident.
