BMW Group Malaysia Triumphed Premium Automotive Segment in Malaysia
BMW Group Malaysia has recorded a total unit of 2,521.525 vehicles distributed to its customers worldwide. Once again, the company has taken the top spot in Premium Automotive Segment for the second following year around Malaysia.
The company has delivered more than 21,600 units of electrified vehicles alongside 10,500 units of BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad vehicles in 2021. Meanwhile, 2,400 units of 320i Sport and 1,270 units of 218i Gran Coupe were delivered last year.
Following closely behind with 1,150 units, the 530i M Sport also rated top-three performing models in Malaysia including BMW 2 and 3 series which are locally assembled.
However, BMW X is still leading by winning over 960 deliveries
BMW deliveries reached a new all-time high of 2,213,795 units with an increase of 9.1 percent last year, with the brand leading the global premium segment.
As for BMW X, it has achieved over 3,200 deliveries to match the performance chart in 2020.
The BMW X1 remains the top-selling model for the BMW X range with over 960 deliveries. This is closely followed by the electrified BMW X5 with over 850 units delivered, a 22 percent increase from the previous year.
For this year ahead, the company aims to move forward a 100,000th vehicle assembled for Malaysian market alongside more than 70 BMW i Charging hubs installed across the country
