- Car Gathering At Jalan Temiang-Pantai?
If the way of living according to this era is risking life just for social media, something should be done. Recently, a look-alike New Zealand scenery in Jalan Temiang-Pantai has caught many Malaysians to come and visit.
No doubt the scenery is mesmerising. However, there’s always a time and place to capture any pictures. This time around, it has endangered people’s lives and involved road safety.
As posted on Facebook, a flock of old Honda Civic drivers gather in the middle of the road and park their cars on the emergency lane, which has immediately disrupted other highway users.
The footage was shared on TikTok, showing some Honda drivers who stood on the shoulder of the road busy chatting with other convoy members. Clearly, their actions endangered their own lives as children were also seen on the road.
On the other hand, some netizens commented that the location was a dead end. "Dead end, and not a public route. Admin, please check before posting and questioning,” said a netizen.
The police have issued 308,726 summonses under various offences during the 10 days of the implementation of Op Selamat 17/22, compared to 271,168 summonses during Op Selamat 16/2020.
An increase of 37,558 summonses or 14 percent in operation has been recorded.
