There’s No Lockdown. Don’t Worry Malaysians!

Following the massive rise in Covid-19 cases lately in Malaysia, people have started to make assumptions, even spreading rumours about another lockdown by the government.

Going back to hometown for Hari Raya seems impossible at this stage, especially with the daily cases spike to 11,034 yesterday.

Don’t worry, folks!

The Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, has assured that the government won’t impose another lockdown even with the rising numbers in daily cases of Covid-19 due to many reasons, including economic and social.

"Throughout the early stages of the pandemic, we did not have enough experience and data to act accordingly. It's been two years since it hit our nation, we cannot afford to implement another 'total lockdown', "he said.

In his statement last month, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakub, also mentioned the same matter.

Hopefully, the government sticks to their decision of no lockdown because we are sure that everyone wants to live everyday life and, of course, Balik kampung for Raya!
