The Citroën Autonomous Mobility Vision Concept & Citroën Ami
The Citroën Autonomous Mobility Vision concept and Citroën Ami introduces Citroën’s expertise and innovation relative to current and future mobility challenges. Citroën implemented a concept where drivers enjoy their travel experience by concentrating less on manoeuvring the vehicles.
“Moving is an integral part of our social and professional lives, to the degree that our entire environment is structured based on transport. It is vital to prepare now for tomorrow’s mobility needs,” said Citroën chief executive officer Vincent Cobée.
As part of Citroën’s electrification strategy, Ami provides a new segment with a two-seater electric quadricycle, featuring ultra-compact dimensions, accessibility, and protection.
Citroen Amo has been known globally since mid-2020 and created a new section fitting in between two-wheelers and cars. The electric vehicle is suitable especially for teenagers and young adults.
“The new Citroën Autonomous Mobility Vision concept could redefine the framework of urban travel, making it shared, electric, autonomous and connected,” he added.
On top of that, with the Citroën Autonomous Mobility Vision concept, drivers could escape a stressful driving experience as the system aims to free up urban traffic in the most innovative way and offers a soothing experience that caters for most of the users' needs.
“Citroën Skates”, a fleet of autonomous and interconnected robots, will move in special lanes seamlessly integrated into the urban landscape.
Meanwhile, the Skates are mobility vectors invented by multiple service companies to position themselves on their platform. This allows drivers to enjoy 24-7 access to the service of their preferred options.
Among the advantages they get to experience from this relaxed environment is reading a book, watching a video, listening to music while sipping a drink, or even doing activities while travelling from destination A to B.
The perks of it being an EV, Ami could minimise their carbon footprints and reduce traffic in big cities. Through this implementation, the method is merely based on the optimal use of resources while working on the entire ecosystem, with pods, Citroën Skates, special lanes, and fleet management.
Citroën Ami is a global phenomenon where many of its buyers stated their views on social media, praising its best practices and sharing tips on customising Ami.
