How Did Zeekr 8X Get 10,000 Orders In 30 Minutes? Here Are The "Mindblowing" Reasons

The global luxury tech brand under Geely has just launched the Zeekr 8X, and the numbers coming out of China are frankly ridiculous. We’re talking about a car that doesn't just compete with other SUVs, it’s out-accelerating actual supercars while fitting five people and their luggage.
The "World Record" Moment: 2.96 Seconds

Let’s get straight to the "scroll-stopper" stat: The Zeekr 8X Flagship Edition hits 0-100 km/h in just 2.96 seconds.
To put that into perspective, that is faster than a Ferrari Purosangue (3.3s) and a Lamborghini Urus (3.3s). This officially makes the Zeekr 8X the world’s fastest-accelerating hybrid SUV. How did they do it?
- Tri-Motor Power: The top-spec "Yaoying" version delivers a massive 1,030 kW (roughly 1,380 hp).
- 900V Architecture: This isn’t your average hybrid; it uses a high-voltage system that allows for insane power delivery and ultra-fast charging.
- Haohan AI Digital Chassis: It’s not just fast in a straight line; the car’s "brain" constantly adjusts the suspension to keep things steady.
10,000 Orders In Under 30 Minutes!

People aren't just looking at the pictures; they are opening their wallets. Within just 29 minutes of its launch on April 17, Zeekr recorded over 10,000 firm orders. Interestingly, 95.6% of those buyers went for the high-end "Ultra" trims and above, proving that the market is hungry for performance.
The "Range Anxiety" Killer (1,416km!)

It’s a hybrid, but not as you know it.
- Total Range: A staggering 1,416 km (CLTC) on a full tank and charge.
- Pure EV Mode: It can travel up to 410 km without using a single drop of petrol.
- Fastest Charge: Thanks to its "6C" charging tech, you can go from 20% to 80% battery in just 9 minutes. That’s basically the time it takes to buy a coffee at the petrol station.
Is It Coming To Malaysia?
While the 8X is currently launching in China (priced from approx. RM208k to RM290k domestically), Geely’s CEO Gan Jiayue confirmed that global rollouts are happening fast.

We already know the larger Zeekr 9X is slated for a Malaysia arrival in late 2026. Given how much Malaysians love high-performance SUVs (and how much we hate range anxiety), the 8X would be a perfect fit for our market.
