Volkswagen Tiguan All Space – Elegance & R-Line facelifted version
VPCM revealed the facelifted Tiguan All Space which premiered during Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) today. The event takes place at Setia City Convention Centre featuring a seven-seater SUV with redesigned features that comes off in two variants for Volkswagen Tiguan All Space this year.
The price is set to RM174,745 for 1.4 TSI Elegance version and RM219,443 for the R-Line 4Motion excluding SST. Whichever you adore most, both variants are keeping its TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engines and could load up to 1775 litre of boot space.
Riding on 18-inch wheels, the Elegance version transmits its engine at 1.4 litre unit mated with six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission with 148 horsepower and 250 Nm torque power and rated at 7.7l/100km.
Meanwhile the R-Line edition offers a 2.0 litre gearing a seven-speed DSG and 4Motion AWD feeding a 218 horsepower with 350 Nm torque power on its 19-inch Valencia alloy wheels. The fuel consumption is rated at 8.6l/100km.
Both variants introduce a new fascia that comes with redesigned grille, refreshed bumper, and a sleeker headlamp aside from its illuminated light stripe and new VW logo.
Exclusive for R-Line 4MOTION, the SUV offers Harman Kardon 480-watt sound system with 10 speakers in total. As for driving modes, it has Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and a 4MOTION system comprising On-road, Off-road, Off-road Expert, and Snow.
Another revised touches would be the 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The metre panel has improvised to 11.7-inch Digital Cockpit imitates HD display colour thin-film transistor (TFT).
Stepping into the cabin, seats are covered in Vienna leather with activated climate seats for both driver and occupants alongside new Easy Open and Easy Close features. Not forgetting the 3-zone Climatronic air con with various modes and Air Care function that showcase a comfortable ride.
“As the five-seater has stopped its production in 2020, only the seven-seater will be produced.” says managing director of VPCM, Erik Winter.
“Tiguan will remain a best seller, yet for the Golf version, GTI has a higher demand compared to R-Line.” he added.
Safety features for All Space comes with the standard airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti- Lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist (BA), Multi-collision brakes, Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), and Electronic Parking Brake (EPB).
Both models receive Lane Assist and Driver Alert systems whilst Tiguan All Space R-Line offers hill-descent control.
