- An EV Crossover Endures Frosty Season with Opel Mokka-e
Set off with a 136 horsepower electric motor and 260 Nm torque power, the latest Opel Mokka-e won the Golden Steering Wheel last year and won among best cars below €25,000 (RM105,000) in Russelsheim.
The electric SUV is recognised for its energy restoration and deceleration when the electric motor becomes a generator which changes the kinetic energy into electricity. An extra 50 kWh battery is saved for the next trip meanwhile could be recharge at zero cost.
Completed with advanced technologies, Opel Mokka-e is designed to press through snow-covered mountains with less hassle even before reaching any slopes or serpentine roads.
Most of the benefits occur while driving in mountain areas as the agility and road features are useful in hilly terrain. All that’s left to do is drive efficiently and enjoy the free-emissions ride.
Winter season might be an annoyance to some and hazardous to others particularly during driving events. Accustomed to a heated steering wheel and footwell, occupants may also enjoy myOpel apps to adjust temperature along ice-free windows in frosty surroundings.
Kudos to the heat pump attached, the waste and lost heat generated enables heating the cabin without having to switch on a conventional heating allowing compromise range.
