Volkswagen Hits the 20th Anniversary Premiering Golf R Special Edition
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Volkswagen revealed a premium model of Golf R that attracts mostly car collector as soon it rolls off in the market.
The exclusive Golf R is the fifth edition of its class that accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and the top speed counts limited to 270 km/h.
With more power and dynamics, it rides on 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels with 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine capable of churning an output of 329HP (245 kW) which deliver 13HP extra compared to the current Golf R.
As standard, the Golf R “20 Years” comes with R Performance package which consists of R-Performance Torque Vectoring, Vehicle Dynamics Manager and two additional driving modes, Special and Drift.
Adorned exquisitely featuring AWD in combination with the distinctive pattern and gear, the model has set a high-tech standard in its series.
Cabin wise, the model is designed with dash panel and door trim decorative trim elements in Genuine Carbon for the first time ever in Volkswagen house of production.
As an opt, the driver could select Emotion Start to activate an initial engine speed overshoot reaching up to 2,500 rpm that naturally heightens the anticipation of driving and higher level of driving stability in sporty driving conditions.
The Golf R “20 Years” will be manufacturing at the residence of Golf – Wolfsburg factory. By the middle of 2022, it may reach dealerships both in European and North America markets.
The new special-edition model Golf R “20 Years” with one of its predecessors, the Golf IV R32, from 2002.
