- Bringing The Racing Indoors, The Prodrive X Callum Racing Simulator
Prodrive, the British-based motorsport company has been manufacturing successful race cars for 35 years, from the WRC to Formula One.
Now, after deciding for a change of pace, it has come up with a racing simulator, which was developed with British car designer, Ian Callum.
Outstandingly, the collaboration between the two resulted with a rig setup that looks as sweeping as the cars it echoes.
First off, the exterior shell of the racing simulator is made from 16 layers of steam-bent birch and has been finished in piano black.
Next, its inner cockpit features carbon fibre materials throughout and contains all the hardware it comes with.
The latter includes a Cobra Nogaro racing seat, Precision SIM LM Pro steering wheel, Simcube Pro steering motor and custom mechanical pedal box with electric adjustment.
On top of that, also fitted are AOC 49-inch Dual-QHD 5K monitor, and a customized PC with Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics card.
User friendly, the entire setup only needs one cable to connect to a household outlet, and upon delivery, Prodrive will do all the assembly required.
That said, the Prodrive X Callum Racing Simulator can be purchased directly from the company at a price of USD 47,000 (RM 209,479).
