- Giulia EV, Top Range for EV Segment in The Market?
Alfa Romeo announces its mission to produce all electrified vehicles by 2027 starting with its Giulia EV to head the journey.
The rise of Giulia EV into the market will put Mercedes EQS behind beating its 485-mile with electric Giulia’s a minimum of 800km (497 miles) of range and battery sizes ranging from 101kWh to 118kWh.
On top of that, it will also have class-leading rapid-charge capability carrying up to 20 miles of range added per minute and put Giulia EV as the longest range among EV in UK.
As the first Giulia was debuted in 2016 after receiving minor tweaks in 2020 incorporated with refreshed infotainment system, the model expected to be placed under Stellantis STLA Large architecture pioneering other EVs from the Italian brand.
“Alfa Romeo will have a future for Giulia, and will do the job for SUVs too, because we are Chinese and we are American, but that shape of the Giulia is fantastic, I don’t want to lose this’’ stated Alfa Romeo’s chief executive officer, Jean-Philippe Imparato.
“The car is gorgeous, so there is a future for this type of car, but it will be a future that will be electrified. It means probably 100 per cent full BEV [battery electric vehicle] for Alfa Romeo” he added.
Adding to that, the Frenchman claims that he wanted to convey an idea of lightness and emphasize on ‘light is right’ tagline especially on its electrified model.
