Starting from July 2022, Intelligent speed assistance (ISA) is set to be mandatory for all new models of vehicles entering the market. Hence, it will not affect vehicle fleet that has been already registered and in circulation towards new cars sold before July 2024.

Though this implementation, it could protect Europeans against traffic accidents, poor air quality and climate change.

The ISA regulation gives four options for systems feedback to the driver as car companies may opt to choose from cascaded acoustic warning, cascaded vibrating warning, haptic feedback through the acceleration pedal and speed control function.

Vinfast, a Vietnamese automaker company also revealed a new HERE ISA system which soon to be integrated into VF 8 and VF 9 electric SUVs exclusive for European market.
