A start-up company in South California, Aptera Motors, has presented a new and more sophisticated prototype version of its solar electric vehicle (SEV), the Gamma.

Initially, Aptera’s SEV was introduced at the end of 2020, which was followed by the development of three other ‘alpha’ versions.
Then, at the beginning of 2022, a beta version of it was reintroduced. Outstandingly, it managed to beat the Tesla Model 3 and the Audi R8 GT Spyder in a race.
Now, after revealing its third form, the Gamma, Aptera said a Delta version will be coming soon, and will be the featured design for this SEV’s production that is slated to start in 2023.

To paint a picture, the production SEV will offer up to 250 miles (402 KM) of driving range, though the charging methods used is the intriguing part.
Notably, drivers can select the solar zone of their respective countries to see the estimated charging needed based on the heat of the sun, and also the distance frequented every day.

That said, pricing-wise, for the production Gamma that has received over 32,000 orders, it will ride with a price tag starting from USD 25,900 (MYR 117,236).
