Volkswagen young talent builds Volkswagen ID.5 GTX "Xcite" concept car

Volkswagen unveiled the "Xcite" concept car designed by 14 of the best aspiring specialists during the ID Gather in Switzerland.
The ID.5 ‘Xcite‘ comes off as a strong and appealing unit whose modifications has been made on the wheel houses and door sills were widened on top of fresh front and rear fenders which enhances its robust appearance.

Based on the image, navy-green hues painted on the car somehow a mix of matt and gloss from the Lamborghini and Volkswagen paint lines.
Results of the team’s creativity has led to a digital sound system by using Gladen, Musway, and Bang & Olufsen equipment using 10 amplifiers, a subwoofer, and a total output of 2000 watts.

Chair of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH, Robert Janssen agrees that with the ID.5 GTX ‘Xcite‘, young people have shown what they can do with technical knowledge and a passion for cars.
‘’Like its predecessors, this show car is a symbol of the high-quality training and the high level of expertise at Volkswagen Sachsen’’ he added.
Moving to the cabin, both Alcantara and vegan leather were used to make a statement about sustainability on top of improvised cockpit, steering wheel, door trims, and roof liner.

From the ID honeycomb, the saddler created a complete, continuous pattern which was embroidered on the seat centre sections and the door trims.
On the front headrests, an embellished project logo has been put together meanwhile the ID logo is combined with a figure 8, which represents the number of projects completed to date.
Volkswagen stated that the concept car is based on the standard ID.5 GTX, which has an 82-kWh battery and a top speed of 180 km/h.
