Recently the news outlet has been flooded with iPhone 14's Crash Detection feature which signals to a certain misinterpretation.

Several users of the latest iPhone 14 reported their emergency services and contacts have been notified while they were riding on roller coasters rather than in a real car crash event.

The unexpected activation of Apple's latest safety features is most likely caused by the sudden braking and movement of roller coasters, which causes the iPhone's sensors to misinterpret the movement as a car crash.

An Apple representative stated that the feature was tested using over a million hours of car crash data and real-world driving analysis despite having six users informed on their smartphone’s impracticality.

More than that, the iPhone responded stating that the testing conditions did not provide the iPhone with enough factors to trigger an alert which led to the failure to detect a car crash.

Several tests on the accuracy of the iPhone 14's Crash Detection have already been conducted, with varying results.

Apple also claims that their latest smartphone product was not connected to Bluetooth or CarPlay and may not have travelled a sufficient distance before impact to register the crash.

Crash Detection is available on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, as well as the Apple Watch SE, Series 8, and Ultra.
