- Petronas Prepares Malacca For The Monsoon Season
The monsoon season is looming. Thus, Petronas, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, has delivered flood equipment to the Malacca State Disaster Management.
Donated are two boats equipped with 15 Hp engines, fuel tanks and other boat equipment, 300 shelter tents for flood victims, 150 life jackets and 1,500 raincoats.
According to M Zaki Mahat, Petronas Southern Region’s General Manager, this was one of Petronas' ongoing efforts to help the agencies involved, be ready to deal with the floods in the rainy season.
He said, "Hopefully this donation can ease the burden of the agencies in carrying out efforts to help flood victims, further increasing preparedness to face the monsoon season that is about to arrive."
All in all, it is understood that the Southern Region, Malacca is the second state to receive the donation after Kota Tinggi, Johor.
