- Canoo, New EV Startup Unveils New Production Hub
Canoo car brand recognised as a Bentonville, Arkansas-based American automotive startup that designs and produces EVs. By 2025, they plan to manufacture commercial electric cars such as vans for vehicle rental and ride-sharing services.
Recently Canoo has agreed to purchase a Vehicle Manufacturing Facility in Oklahoma City, which is easily accessible by road and rail. The EV firm intends to manufacture its Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle and Lifestyle Vehicle vans in-house, with the first units shipping to clients in 2023.

More than that, the mill will employ around 500 employees and be capable of ramping up to a 20,000-unit yearly operating rate by the end of 2023. On the 120-acre (48.5-hectare) location, the facility will have additional capacity to scale, as well as a specialised training centre.
"We are excited to announce our manufacturing facility, which begins our path to scaled production in 2023 and delivers on our plan to bring high-paying light-blue collar jobs to Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma City facility has significant room for expansion and is a proven location for large scale production, with an established transportation ecosystem, including rail" stated Canoo Chairman and CEO, Tony Aquila.
Canoo also has its headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, where the business plans to develop an R&D centre as well as an advanced industrialization and low-volume production facility for small package delivery vehicles.
