Domino’s All-Electric Delivery Fleet, Employing 855 Chevrolet Bolt EVs
Sparking its zero-emission drives to a new level, Domino’s electrifies up its delivery game with an all-electric fleet using the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV.
Domino’s is building a fleet of 855 new EVs to be exact, making the company one of the first to implement EVs for deliveries at scale.
100 of the Chevy Bolt all-electric pizza delivery vehicles will be surging the roads of the U.S. from select franchises starting this month.
Also, via Domino’s dedicated website, a map will be provided to keep track on when and where the new EV delivery vehicles are or will be active.
The Chevy Bolt EV with its 259-mile (417 Km) range on a single charge, according to Domino’s can last multiple days of deliveries without needing another recharge.
General Motors’ fleet vice president, Ed Peper, remarked, “We’re excited that Domino’s has chosen the Chevrolet Bolt EV to build their electric pizza delivery fleet in the U.S. Both companies are committed to bettering our environment. GM plans to eliminate tailpipe emissions from new U.S. light duty vehicles by 2035. With an affordable price, fun driving characteristics, and a 259-mile (417 Km) range, the Chevy Bolt EV is the future of Domino’s electrified deliveries.”
That said, since Domino’s is a global household name, the prospect of Malaysia’s franchises to adopt this initiative seems promising, especially with the current EV development our country is making.
