Motorcycles are not permitted in the Smart Tunnel, and there is no insurance coverage if an accident occurs.

The Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel, also known as the Smart Tunnel, is one of the Klang Valley stretches where motorbikes and heavy vehicles are not permitted, and this has been the case for some time...

Smart, the tunnel's operator, sent a reminder to motorcyclists earlier today that two-wheeled vehicles are not permitted to enter the tunnel. Smart emphasised in a tweet (https://twitter.com/Smarttunnel/status/1594541110432505856?s=20&t=DFCssm2JcnVtV132OirH4Q) that motorcyclists and pillion riders are not insured if they are involved in an accident inside the tunnel.

According to the company's website, the only vehicles permitted to use the Smart Tunnel are passenger cars, MPVs, and SUVs with a height of little more than two metres.

The Smart Tunnel has three entry/exit points: Sungai Besi, adjacent to RMAF airport in Jalan Tun Razak, the Kg Pandan roundabout, next to RHB Bank in Jalan Sultan Ismail, and the Park Royal Hotel traffic signal, next to Berjaya Times Square.
