RON97 Petrol Reduced To RM3.35, Down Another 20cents, The Rest Remains Fixed

Based on the Malaysian fuel Automated Pricing Mechanism formula, the retail price of petroleum products for the period from December 22, 2022 to December 28, 2022 is as below:


  1. The retail price of RON97 petrol is reduced by another 20 sen per-litre as per last week moving from RM3.55 to RM3.35 per litre.

  2. The price of RON95 petrol remains steady at RM2.05 per-litre.

  3. The Diesel price too remains at RM2.15 per-litre.


The newly formed unity government taking into consideration the current economic climate aims to protect consumers from any effects fuel price increment maintains the retail price of RON95 petrol at a ceiling price at RM2.05 per-litre and diesel at RM2.15 per-litre.


This however does not reflect the actual market price of those fuels which is substantially higher. However, the retail price of RON97 petrol was lowered in accordance of the current market price movement.
