- Chery Achieves 28.2% Global Growth With Over 1.2 Million Cars Sold Globally
Chery Group has managed to better its sales by breaking through the one million vehicles sold barrier for the year 2022. This basically places Chery at the top spot as the top Chinese vehicle exported 20 years in a row.
In total Chery has 11.2 million vehicles sold of which 2.4 million were to its export markets. In Dec 2022, they managed to sell 105,483 vehicles, and 1,232,727 units globally in 2022. This translates to +28.2% year-on-year (YoY) growth. As for the export market, there was a +67.7 YoY which was 451,337 units.
Chery’s global sales is predominantly driven by its Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 series of vehicles. Moreover, they are committed to produce vehicles with innovation and technology in mind to push for growth. This is achieved through a well established global workforce which includes a team of chief scientists who had led the creation of its technological innovation factory. By 2022 end, Chery has applied for a total of 25,795 patents and obtained 17,177, of which 37% were for inventions.
Furthermore, in pushing for growth, Chery has over the years expanded on its partner base whom each can depend on especially with regards to joint innovation, integrated innovation and open collaboration. Some of its strategic partners are Haier, Huawei, Luxshare Precision, CATL, iFLYTEK, Horizon Robotics and other first-class enterprises in various industries especially in the fields of industrial internet, intelligent solutions, traction battery systems and ecosystem cooperation.
In 2023, the Chery Group would work on retaining its annual sales volume and strive in boosting its other major business indicators, to grow its rank to be among the world’s top automotive enterprises in the near future.
