Anih Berhad, the concession holder for Kuala Lumpur Karak Highway (KLK) and East Coast Highway (LPT1) announced that there will be 50% more traffic on both of these highways this coming Chinese New Year (CNY).

Just KLK Highway alone would see about 71% bump in traffic amounting to 171,000 vehicles, while LPT1 would get busier by 62% with 73,000 vehicles. In order to cope with these road users, Anih Berhad would deploy 390 staff consisting of 273 toll operators and 117 from other departments to help ensure smooth CNY highway operations.

There will also be traffic and Rela members stationed ten meters after the westbound toll plaza to ensure no vehicles are parked at the road shoulders disrupting traffic flow. There will also be two dedicated toll lanes offering 24-hours Touch 'n' Go (TnG) card top-up service at the Gombak and Bentong Toll Plazas for users with low credit balance.

Similar to PLUS Highway, Anih Berhad has also released its own travel time advisory (TTA) for the CNY holidays. Highways users are advised to follow the suggested travel time in order to better manage the volume of traffic or travel during the free travel period from 12am to 5am. Users are also strongly encouraged to not travel during the times of 9.30am to 12pm and 9.30pm to 12am as this is the suggested travel time for Express buses heading east coast.

The full breakdown on the TTA can be seen in the diagram, hence we at Caricarz suggest everyone to plan your journey well in advance.
