- PM Announces Toll Exemptions In Conjunction With Chinese New Year
To commemorate the Chinese New Year, highway users will be able to travel toll-free on January 20 and 21, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He stated that the Transport and Works ministers took the initiative to meet with concessioners, who agreed not to charge tolls for the two days.
This will apply to all types of vehicles and will cost RM40 million. "We hope that by waiving the toll charges for the two days, it will allow all Malaysians to enjoy travels during the Chinese New Year. "My advice to road users is to drive safely," he said after presiding over the weekly Cabinet meeting.
