One-off ‘Time Chaser_111100’ Lamborghini Huracan STO Special Revealed
Famed Italian sportscar and hypercar brand Lamborghini unwrapped a one-off version of its Huracán STO supercar that quite literally wears its past. Christened as the ‘Time Chaser_111100’, it stands as a special art piece created by renowned Japanese designer as part of the raging bull brand’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
The designer, known simply as Ikeuchi, opted to harness original parts from Lamborghini’s previous anniversary editions – known as Anniversario specials – for this build. This includes components from the Countach 25th Anniversary, the Diablo SE30, Murciélago 40th, as well as the more recent Aventador LP 720-4 50th.
Which specific parts and where they are employed in this latest Huracan STO special remains a mystery, though this opera unica (unique) STO does boast a very distinct addition mounted over its engine cover.
This additional ‘module’ of sorts incorporates the striking launch colours – read: hero colours – of the four Anniversario specials mentioned. Notably, Ikeuchi took inspiration from both cyberpunk and robot anime, which explains the distinct styling of the engine cover ‘module’ sitting atop the Huracan STO’s manic V10.
Mechanically, the designer has left the base Huracan STO’s drivetrain untouched, which delivers a whopping 631 HP and 564 NM to propel the STO’s lightweight body (1,339 KG, or 43 KG less than a regular Huracán).
Besides the artistic one-off supercar, Ikeuchi also designed a simulator model using actual Lamborghini parts – intakes, engine cover, switchgear, and wheel. Called the ‘Time Gazer’, it presents Ikeuchi’s vision of “past, present and future through the lens of Lamborghini’s evolution”.
Once again, the subtle grey and black colour scheme makes sense, more so given Ikeuchi’s affinity for the cyberpunk and robot anime look.
“The Time Gazer and the Time Chaser were created by incorporating original parts from past anniversary models and are meant to be a celebration of Lamborghini’s history from the very past with the aim of living longer also in the future,” said Ikeuchi.
Are you digging Ikeuchi’s cyberpunk-esque redux of perhaps Lamborghini's most potent V10-powered sportscar to date?
