Ferrari Teases Steering Wheel of A New Model – Launching in Mar 16

Renowned Italian supercar brand Ferrari has unveiled a new teaser of an upcoming model. Only unveiling the steering wheel part, this latest Ferrari model is poised to make its global debut later this month, part of the four new models planned to be launched this year.

This short video teaser posted on Ferrari’s official Instagram page did not reveal much of this new car, only unveiling the steering wheel design, at least graphically. Said steering wheel features a slew of carbon fibre parts, including the flat bottom part of the wheel, as well as the paddle shifters, while also wrapped in what appears to be a perforated leather upholstery.

Take a closer inspection at the teaser video and you might think the sweeping wind sounds used in said video somewhat emulates the wind noises you get from driving a top-down vehicle.

From what we’ve been served, the steering wheel design looks somewhat similar to the ones used in newer Ferrari models, such as the 296 GTB and the Roma. Adding the audio cues used in the teaser, it is probably safe to say that this new model might be a convertible.

This revelation is in line with the current rumours that have been swirling around for some time, suggesting that a spider/convertible version of the Ferrari Roma might be on its way. Ferrari has always been known for coming out with a convertible version of its coupe models. For example, the SF90 Stradale comes in both coupe and spider convertible versions, as well as the 296, coming in both coupe (GTB) and convertible (GTS) variants too.

Should this new model be the convertible twin of the Ferrari Roma, it will likely boast the same 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 powertrain that delivers 612 HP and 761 NM to this coupe. This setup grants the Roma a 0 to 100 KM/H finish in only 3.4 seconds, while en route to its V-max of 320 KM/H.

This new Ferrari model will make its global debut later in Mar 16, 2023. Considering that the launch is taking place roughly a week after we’ve published this, perhaps this will be the sole teaser unveiled by the Prancing Horse marque prior to the grand reveal.
