Tuners Mansory Reveals Wild-Looking Ferrari SF90 Spider Build
As it is, the Ferrari SF90 Spider, which is the open-top twin to the SF90 Stradale, already stands as a manic plug-in hybrid (PHEV) supercar boasting hypercar-like performance figures.
Much of which stems from its twin-turbo V8, triple electric motor setup, and its claimed 1,000 HP output plus its 2.5-second century sprint time and V-Max well over 340 KM/H.
However, for a select few, this simply isn’t enough, to which renowned exotic car tuners Mansory has provided a solution for. Called the Mansory F9XX Tempesta Celeste (‘Celestial Storm’), the tuners have chosen the open-top SF90 Spider model as its base.
The exterior redux sees Mansory prime the F9XX Tempesta Celeste with an extreme aero package that has spawned a rather polarising new stance. There’s also a bevy of forged carbon body add-ons, as well as a two-piece rear spoiler that incorporates an extra LED curved strip.
Almost every panel has been redux to extremes, front bumper included with its double canards and pronounced spoiler lip. There’s also vented fenders a la those seen in the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, as well as side beefier mirror caps courtesy of forged carbon upgrades.
Complementing the wild aerokit is a menacing quad exhaust system and a massive rear diffuser with an integrated F1-style fog light. Other key changes include a set of custom forged 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels, as well as body-coloured brake calipers.
On board, Mansory has also given the cabin a complete makeover to feature lots of light blue-hued leather. Several trims and panels also see a switch from leather to carbon fibre whereas the floormats have also been given a blue-hued treatment.
Of course, all this added ‘show’ won’t amount to much if it isn’t paired with the right amount of added ‘go’, to which Mansory has obliged fittingly. Its fettling of the SF90 Spider’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 sees it churn out 980 HP now as opposed to the stock base car’s 769 HP figure.
Together with the triple electric motor setup, this PHEV supercar now boasts 1,100 HP on tap, whereas peak torque now reads at 980 NM – up from the stock car’s 800 NM claim. As a result, 0-100 KM/H sprints will take just 2.4 seconds plus a raised V-Max of 355 KM/H.
According to Mansory, just 3 units of the SF90 Spider-based F9XX Tempesta Celeste will be built. Part of the tuner’s one-of-one series, the other 2 units are set to feature even greater bespokery to set itself apart from this initial blue-hued build revealed.
