In a press statement issued earlier today, Goodyear Malaysia Berhad announced that the Cooper Tires brand and products are now available via selected Goodyear Autocare stores in Malaysia. This follows on from the renowned tyre-making giant’s acquisition of the Cooper Tire & Rubber company back in June 2021.

The announcement sees the Cooper Tire brand now operating in Malaysia under the Goodyear umbrella, offering consumers its range of all-season performance tyre products, alongside arguably it’s most renown offerings in the form of 4x4 and pick-up truck tyres.

“We foresee the synergy of brands will bring about an increase and [a] wider spectrum of product offerings to consumers, at the same time expanding further in the local tyre market,” said Goodyear Malaysia’s MD Alex Ng.

Up to 6  Cooper Tires brand products are now available in Malaysia via selected Goodyear Autocare stores.

Information regarding the brand and its product range for Malaysia are now available online through the Goodyear Malaysia webpage. A quick glance sees no less than six different tyre products offered for the Malaysian market, those being the Zeon RS3-G1, Discoverer ATT, Evolution CTT, Discoverer UTS, Discoverer AT3 4S, and the Discoverer AT3 LT/XLT.

Whilst the Zeon RS3-G1 is positioned as an all-season tyre for performance vehicles, the Evolution CTT sits as a highway-focused offering made especially for crossover and SUVs. Both are also available in a variety of sizes. The Discoverer UTS, on the other hand, stands as an ultra high-performance (UHP) tyre offering made for luxury SUVs, but it’s only available solely in 235/55R20 size and profile.

Besides these road-focused offerings, the range also features all-terrain offerings in the form of the Discoverer ATT for SUVs and pick-up trucks, the Discoverer AT3 4S 4x4 tyre available solely in 265/65R18 size and profile, as well as a Discoverer AT3 LT/XLT made especially for 4x4 and pick-up trucks too.

A Petronas Gift Card worth RM40 is up for grabs in this special Cooper Tires promotional campaign.

Notably, all Cooper Tire products available through selected Goodyear Autocare outlets nationwide are offered with a 5-year warranty coverage that starts from the date of purchase.

In lieu of the Cooper Tires brand inclusion into Goodyear Malaysia Berhad’s fold, the firm has started its  ‘Cooper Tires Promotion’ consumer campaign that runs from now until May 31, 2023. It sees customers rewarded with a free Petronas Gift Card worth RM40 when they purchase a set of 4 Cooper Tires, but only while stocks last.
