- PLUS Appoints Nik Airina Nik Jaffar As New MD & CEO
Datuk Nik Airina Nik Jaffar has been appointed as PLUS Malaysia Bhd's new managing director (MD) and chief executive officer, effective May 1.
Nik Airina has been with PLUS since 2001 and was appointed chief operating officer in 2006.
She was appointed managing director of Opus Group Bhd in 2010 and is now the MD of UEM Builders Bhd as well as the director of special projects and corporate finance at UEM Group Bhd.
Nik Airina has over 30 years of experience in the transportation and healthcare infrastructure industries, according to PLUS.
Her key projects included the North-South Expressway, the Pan Borneo Highway Sabah, the LRT Extension Project, and the Cikopo-Palimanan Expressway in Indonesia.
PLUS chairman Datuk Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif stated that Nik Airina had extensive experience leading various businesses, expertise in highway network operations and asset management, and industry standing.
Mohamad Nasir stated that the company was confident in her ability to steer PLUS towards its goals and objectives.
"We are doing this to ensure long-term business sustainability, strategic stakeholder management, and efficient operations and service levels for our users," he explained.
