- PLUS Issues TTA Schedule For 'Balik Kampung' Trips
PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) has issued a Travel Time Advisory (TTA) schedule for the North-South Expressway in order to facilitate a smoother Hari Raya "balik kampung" and return journey to Klang Valley.
Datuk Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi, chief operating officer of PLUS, stated that the TTA schedule would be implemented from April 19 to May 1, with the goal of assisting highway users in planning their journeys to ensure a safer and more comfortable travel experience.
The advisory will also be beneficial to the two million vehicles expected to travel along the PLUS highway during the peak days of the Aidilfitri holiday period.
"I strongly advise highway users to plan their Hari Raya journeys based on the TTA schedule because it will help users avoid unnecessary delays, especially if there are accidents on the highways that could disrupt the smooth traffic flow," he said.
Users of the Klang Valley highway heading to other destinations such as Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak (Kuala Kangsar-Bukit Merah), and Johor are advised to enter the highway before 9 a.m.
"Those travelling to nearby destinations should enter the highway between noon and 3 p.m."
"Those planning to return to Klang Valley between April 19 and May 1 should enter the highway before 9 a.m."
He also emphasised the significance of using the same payment method when entering and exiting the highway. "Using the same payment method reduces the possibility of toll lane congestion." "Ensure that your e-Wallet and Touch 'n Go card have sufficient balance for travel." Highway users can get regular traffic updates by visiting the PLUSTrafik Twitter service, the PLUS App, the PUTRI Chatbot or listening to traffic announcements on major radio stations.
