Set to go on display this week during the Milan Design Week is this 1:1 scale model of the award-winning Kia EV6 electric vehicle (EV) that’s made entirely of Lego blocks.

Commissioned by Kia Italy, the model was constructed by a company called BrickVision, which was founded by Italy’s only LEGO Certified Professional, Riccardo Zangelmi. No less than 350,000 Lego bricks were used in this build, which also took 800 man hours across four months to complete.

Up to 350,000 Lego bricks were used, taking no less than 800 man hours and 4 months to complete this build!

Builders BrickVision even fitted a functional lighting system!

Not only an excellent replica mimicking the exterior design of an actual road-going EV6, this Lego-based ‘scupture’ also boasts a functional lighting system.

The piece has been christened ‘Brick To The Future’ by Kia, and the firm adds that it will serve as a symbol of a “new and inspiring path towards sustainable mobility.” After the Milan Design Week, this Lego EV6 scale model will then be exhibited at the Kia Energy House located in Rome, Italy.

Though available in three trimlines, only the mid-tier EV6 GT Line AWD is offered officially in Malaysia. Priced at RM300,668 sans insurance, it packs a sizeable 77.4 kWh hour battery that juices a dual-motor setup (one over each axle) that drives all four wheels with combined outputs of 321 HP and 605 NM, allowing 0-100 KM/H despatched in just 5.2 seconds.

Altogether, said electrified powertrain boasts a claimed WLTP maximum range of up to 506 KM. Additionally, the batteries mentioned can also accept DC rapid-charging inputs as high as 350 kW, which would allow 10-80% charges in a mere 18 minutes.

You can check out how this BrickVision completed their build of this Lego 1:1 scale replica of the Kia EV6 in the featured video below.
